In May 2022, we made our first investment in Shinkansen, a fintech specializing in payment automation, with the goal of moving money at the speed of the internet. This was a $1 million pre-seed round that included participation from other investors such as Fen Ventures, Platanus Ventures, and the founders of Fintual and Cornershop. Part of the use of funds in this round was earmarked to build their payouts API in collaboration with BICE Connect, BICE's BaaS platform.

After our investment, Shinkansen has become a partner for BICE Connect in the development of pay-ins and payouts APIs, enabling the provision of 100% automated payouts with fast confirmation, as well as pay-in notifications.
